Posture
In this first lesson, Kimberly Cole Luevano shows you how to find a good posture for clarinet playing while standing. She discusses the principles of good posture and shows you the optimum way to hold your clarinet without causing any strain, making you free and easy in your movements. Kim's way is all about balancing - not holding - the clarinet.
Right Hand
In this lesson, Kim shows you how to make the most of the all-important right hand. She shows you some easy and affordable additions you can make to your thumb rest to make it more comfortable and erganomic, and gives you some useful exercises to help with balance and the position of the right hand fingers.
Left Hand
Here, Kimberly Cole Luevano shows you how to place your left hand thumb to have the perfect left hand position. She gives you multiple options for setting the position of this hand, and some exercises for improving the position of the fingers of the left hand.
Finger Action
Now we're getting moving! In this final lesson, Kimberly Cole Luevano shows you how to think about the curvature of your fingers and gives you exercises for working on maintaining this good position: through trills, tremolos and Klosé mechanism exercises, you'll master the hand position you've been developing throughout this course!
